Centranthus ruber

Red Valerian - Flowering from early summer, Red Valerian can be quite an invasive plant. Nevertheless beautiful when adorning walls and poor or dry soils. Although it's name suggests red flowers, they also produce pink and creamy clusters as in these images. Photographs taken at Moville Co. Donegal.
