Ficaria verna

Lesser Celandine - A very early wildflower that blooms from February to May in woods, hedgerows and streams. It is often found flowering alongside Wood Anemone. Some regard this plant as invasive due to it blanket covering the woodland floor and smothering underlying plants. This perennial herbaceous plant has heart shaped leaves which help identify it.
