Crocus cambessedesii

Balearic Crocus -A charming autumn wild flower endemic to Majorca and Menorca. Photographed pushing up through the stony garrigue floor at Son Real reserve Majorca in October. This tiny botanical treasure features delicate pale-lilac petals and vibrant yellow stamens. Unlike many spring crocus species, it blooms from mid-autumn into winter. Known locally in Catalan as Safrà bord (wild saffron).
