Galanthus nivalis

Snowdrop - It always amazes me how such a tiny and dainty flower can be so hardy. One of the first flowers to show, even if it has to force its way through a blanket of snow! Certainly one of the peoples favourites. Found in damp wooded areas, roadsides and riverbanks. A blanket of snowdrops is not to be missed. Photographed in a woodland at Belcoo Co. Fermanagh
