Narcissus papyraceus

Paper-white Narcissus - or paper-white daffodils are early bloomers in Portugal where these photographs were taken during January. They thrive in low lying meadows river banks and moist soils. they are native to the Mediterranean regions. It is the strongest scented Narcissus. Pure white with bright yellow stamens make this a very elegant daffodil with a strong fragrant scent.
