Gynandriris sisyrinchum
Barbary Nut Iris - a beautiful wild iris photographed at Vilamoura reedbeds in the Algarve region of Portugal. It was in bloom during late February. It opens in full bloom by day and closes when the sun goes down. It stood all alone at the edge of a dry sandy walkway.
